The Zooleón was founded on September 19, 1979. The León Zoo has an average of 1,058 specimens of 197 different species, being a project that covers aspects of conservation, environmental education and recreation for the community.

León Cathedral

León Cathedral is a Catholic church located in the historic center of León, Guanajuato, Mexico. Consecrated in 1866, it soon became the seat of the Metropolitan Archdiocese of León. The church was designed in the neoclassical style of the Doric order, except for the western side door, which is in the Spanish Baroque style; its atrium has a triple Hellenistic portico built as a monument to the Virgin of Light, patron saint of the city and the diocese. León Cathedral is a great place where, in addition to appreciating its beauty, you can learn about the different architectural styles that compose it.
